MEET OUR TRAINERS:
Owner SCOTT SORKIN possesses certificates in Personal Training and Nutrition from: Expert Rating, The National Personal Training Institute and ACE.
Scott began training in 1999, and has had clients at both the Gold’s Gym in Northeast Philadelphia and The Aquatic and Fitness Club on the Main Line. He was the fitness director at Gold’s Gym in Conshohocken and became the regional director of that ownership group’s three gym locations.
Scott opened Tone Zone, a small private training studio, in 2010. Built solely on referrals, in 2 short years, he and his wife Leslie opened up their expanded East Elm Street location in January of 2013. One year later, their Ridge Pike location opened, and they are excited to have recently expanded to Blue Bell!
Scott’s success throughout the years is a direct outcome of his results-oriented approach to personal training, his vast knowledge of all things fitness-related, and his intense passion for what he does. His workouts are specifically designed for strength development, weight loss, and muscle definition.
When he is not lifting weights and pushing his clients to their limits, you can find Scott running and biking the nearby trails, dining at his favorite restaurants, and spending time with Leslie and their two dogs. Baby Sorkin arrives this October!
FRANK JANTES is an experienced Personal Trainer who has been working in the fitness field for the last ten years.His experience working in a physical therapy office as well as several different training facilities has given him a broad range of knowledge in which he uses to translate into his workout programs.
One of Frank’s favorite things to do is design creative workout programs. This keeps his clients challenged and eager to push themselves to the next level. His “think outside the box” approach to fitness will maintain your interest while making every workout fun and exciting. With high energy and a dedicated work ethic, Frank creates a wonderful environment in which to strive towards your fitness goals.
In his free time, Frank still participates in local recreational sports leagues, and he enjoys a competitive atmosphere to push himself to stay healthy and active. That same push is something that he uses when working with every single one of his clients. For Frank, fitness is more of a lifestyle than a job, and that is the attitude he tries to pass on to all he works with.
ANN LOMBARDI is a dynamo who has been teaching group fitness classes for over 20 years. She’s been providing one-on-one training to a diverse set of clients for over 10 years. She holds certifications in personal training (AFAA) and sports nutrition (ACE). She also teaches various class formats including boot camp, spin, Pilates, and yoga.
Ann earned an Education Degree from West Chester University, which inspires her to continue to motivate, challenge, and teach others to lead a healthy lifestyle. Her client base includes beginners through advanced athletes, and she specializes in pregnant women and teenagers.
Outside of work, Ann enjoys adventure racing, trail running and mountain biking!
REGINA MITCHELL: is bubbly with energy that can motivate you on your most trying day!
Originally from New York, Regina first came to Philadelphia in 1996 on a softball scholarship at Temple University. After college Regina was asked to work at the University’s IBC center as a group fitness instructor, and that was when she found her calling.
Regina has worked as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in and around the Philadelphia area for over a decade. Her focus is on core strengthening and cardio endurance, and as a certified Kick Boxer, Regina gets results. As a group instructor with a dance background, Regina keeps her classes charged with rhythmic energy and fun choreography!
DAVID MISSIMER was born in Roxborough, PA and grew up locally in Lansdale. He graduated from the University of Colorado where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with areas of emphasis in Finance and Accounting. He is currently working towards his Master’s Degree in Education at Arcadia University.
David began his career in health and fitness in 2004 when he became a certified personal fitness trainer. He has been teaching group exercises classes since 2005 and is a certified indoor cycling, Pilates, and yoga instructor. He attended his 200-hour yoga teacher training at Verge Power Yoga in Wayne, PA.
In addition to personal training and instructing group fitness classes, David is also a certified massage therapist. He graduated from the National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences in Lansdale, PA, where he completed a 600-hour massage therapy program.
In his free time, David finds balance in his life through long-distance running, meditation, and getting lost in suspenseful fiction and fantasy novels. Several of his favorite authors are Dean Koontz, Dan Brown, Anne Rice, and Piers Anthony.
